quietformat is an audio plugin brand founded in 2025 by producer GILLA.
 

We create virtual instruments and audio effects for people who want to shape new sounds.

 

While making music, we often find faint thoughts drifting in.

It is not a lack of features. It is the moment when new ideas for texture, movement, and feeling are needed.

 

We believe sound design is more than adjusting parameters. Creating sound begins with an idea, and we build tools that help bring those ideas out into the real world.

 

To hold on to those thoughts, we decided to turn them into instruments.

 

In 2020, we built our first software synth with SynthEdit and experienced the joy of bringing an imagined instrument to life. Later, we created Kontakt libraries, shaping techniques we often used in our own work into an instrument called GILLA ARP. What began as small experiments gradually formed a clear direction, and that path eventually became quietformat.
