What is PERGE?
PURGE is a free, Zero-Latency Dynamic Resonance Control Plug-in. It detects sudden resonances (ringing) and harsh peaks in sources like vocals, guitar, piano, and synths in real time, then gently reduces them only when they appear. Instead of constantly cutting like a traditional EQ, PURGE reacts only when problems occur, so you can clean things up without drastically changing the tone.
The workflow is simple. Just raise Depth. At 0% there’s no processing, and as you increase it, suppression becomes more active. The included 3-Band Bypass EQ acts as a guide, telling PURGE which areas to focus on and which areas to leave untouched.
The result is a fast, clean cleanup that lets you keep moving.
+Expand with PURGE Plus
Sometimes you want finer control. You may want to target resonances more precisely, shape the suppression to be wider or narrower, or make the cleaned signal feel a bit brighter and more natural.
PURGE Plus includes the core behavior and workflow of PURGE, then expands the control range. Use Sensitivity to adjust precision and range, and Brighten to refine the tone after cleanup. You also get a 6-Band Bypass EQ to guide processing in more detail, plus Attack/Release controls to tune response and recovery.
When needed, Sidechain lets PURGE Plus analyze an external source to avoid clashing resonances, and presets help you start quickly.
